Designer Ashley Pittman launched her eponymous fair trade jewelry line after volunteering with an HIV initiative in Rwanda. Her designs are handcrafted by local artisans in Kenya, made with indigenous materials including horn, bronze and East Africa-mined semi-precious stones. What’s more is 10% of all profits are donated to help fund a school and health center in a rural Kenyan community. Drawing influences from African artwork and traditional cultural dress, Ashley Pittman showcases a highly unique collection of statement necklaces, drop earrings, bangles and colorful rings. Exquisite natural materials sit alongside roughly-cut bronze, glittering topaz, turquoise and distressed woods, for a bohemian, earthy feel which will add instant style to any woman’s wardrobe.
